Driving Test

A practical driving test in the UK last for approximately 40 minutes. This test has an eyesight check, show me tell me, and driving ability section. When the test finishes, an examiner will give you the result of your test and a debrief. To pass, you should commit no more than 15 minor driving faults whilst avoiding any serious or dangerous faults.

The DVSA driving examiner who will conduct the test is looking for a good display of safe driving ability and assessing how well you apply the rules of the highway code.

On the main driver ability part you’ll be give directions to follow by the examiner. This section also has  independent driving and reversing exercise section. You could also be asked to carry out an emergency stop.
